wingspan : 20 mm
practically nothing is known about Wahydra thisbe (Hayward 1942), we're only told it would have been collected at Bucay, near Guayaquil, at an elevation of 300 meters, which is absolutely impossible.
we have two pictures, period.
but, at 2500 m on the Cuellaje road, we collected this butterfly which looks almost identical.
we also collected a female, but Wahydra females are exceedingly rare, and we know nothing about them ; we put this one on this slide, but it could be another species ?
and, on the Buenos Aires road, we also collected another male that we figure on the individual variations page ; it is slightly different, and it could be the same species, or something else ?
