Methone cecilia, Lita, rio Chuchuvi, Quinindé, Puerto Quito, San Miguel de los Bancos.
we first thought these Methone were M. cecilia chrysomela that flies nearby in Western Colombia ; but, as evidenced on the new facts page, there are constant differences between these butterflies from North West Ecuador and chrysomela.
we think it probably is an undescribed ssp.
