wingspan : male 39/51, female 38/45 mm
seen from Calderón to Lita, Playa de Oro, Selva Alegre, las Golondrinas (Pichincha) los Cedros, Pedro Vicente Maldonado and Puerto López ; it is a very variable subspecies ; in addition some specimens, males and females, have a conspicuous bright orange dot at the FW base (UN), we do not know wether this orange spot means something ot not ?
