this picture of a Mesosemia was taken by Leonardo Vivar Ayora on road "28" between the Mindo road and the Santa Rosa road junctions, and Don Marsille photographed the same butterfly almost in the same place.
it looks really like Mesosemia harveyi, a species which, up to now, has been recorded only from Costa Rica and Panamá.
