the female from Calderón (bottom) is quite peculiar.
on butterfliesofamerica Eresia cissia, mimas and quintilla are considered to be subspecies of Eresia ithomioides ; but these three butterflies fly together all along the Lita-Calderón road, so we believe it makes more sense to treat them as three separate species.
