we noticed on butterfliesofamerica that the types of Calycopis origo, which come from Para and French Guyana, have narrow red stripes, while illustrated specimens from Central America have much stronger red lines.
the same applies in Ecuador with thin red lines East of the Andes and wide red lines West of the Andes - all the butterflies on the pictures below show the typical Western thick lines.
