the bottom picture by David Sternberg is absolutely amazing ; here are Keith R Willmott comments : "Great photo! The larvae are gregarious and feed on mistletoes, would be very interesting to photograph any in the tree where they pupated (and post those photos on inaturalist) and search them for caterpillars. They rest at the base of the tree and commute up and down the trunk to feed at night, and pupate as a group on the trunk. I'm not sure any information about the immature stages of this species has ever been published".
